June Monsoon online chess tournament will be conducted online on lichess.org for adult and scholastic players of all levels. Free USCF membership provided for new or expired scholastic members.

Format: 4 Round Swiss. USCF Online Standard Rated.
4 Sections: Open, Under 1800, Under 1200, Under 700.
For determining sections, the higher of a player’s USCF Over the Board (OTB) Regular rating and their USCF Online Regular rating will be used.
Time Limit: G/30 with 5 second increment.
Entry Fee: $30, IM-GM free. $40 after 11:00pm, June 25th.

Schedule: Open and Under 1800 Sections: Rounds: 12-1:30-2:45-4:00. Under 1200 & U700: All pairings created ASAP after each round ends. Next game appears immediately! Anticipated completion before 3pm.

Registration: At progresswithchess.org/monsoon until 11pm, Friday June 25th, then $5 late fee added.

Prizes (based on 50): Open: $150-$75, U2000: $75. U1800: $100-$50, U1500: $50. U1200: $80-$40, U900 $40. Under 700: $60-$30.

Fair Play: Players in all sections must be on Zoom with side angle camera to be eligible to win prizes EXCEPT U700 and U1200. Games of winners will be reviewed. Players using chess engine assistance may be flagged by Lichess, or reported to the USCF Ethics Committee.
